Lucille - is it significant?

I just read an essay on Three Colours: Blue, and it had a line something like this:

Lucille - I hope some people see the significance of that name!-...

I don't see the significance of the name, and having quickly searched came up with nothing really!

So over to you guys!

The name Lucille is derived from a Latin word meaning "light." I assume that's what the reviewer is referring to, although the same Latin word is also the basis for the name "Lucifer." There is also a Saint Lucy, a virgin-martyr of the 4th century who suffered death rather than be condemned to prostitution.
