Adult scenes?
I really want to see this film but am slightly worried about the content. Are any of the scenes sexually or violently graphic?
Thanks

You should be safe enough - the only episode remotely approaching violence is the knuckle-scraping scene about 20 minutes in, and there is a brief but obscured sex scene showing only the characters faces at the end of the film. Neither of these would seem to justify the UK "15" or the US "R" rating.
shareThankyou very much, I have heard of this knuckle scene, but thanks for the other warning.

You're welcome, I hope you enjoy the film. If, like myself, your French isn't up to much and you need English subtitles, try to get a DVD which includes subtitles for the choral soundtrack at the end (not all do this), as an appreciation of Kieslowski's message of redemption by love provides a fitting emotional closure to the film. The UK Artificial Eye release does this, but I don't know anything about the US versions.
shareYeah I'm from the UK I will look for this edition, thanks for your help.

To add on to what the other posted listed, there is another sex scene earlier in the movie, as well as a scene in a sex club. And then there's the shot with all those naked baby mice. Nothing a mature person shouldn't be able to handle, though.

I cant believe the knuckle scene is real! They did it with a prosthetic but it looked awful, so J. Binoche did it for real! Man she's a real actress...
shareThere is also a scene with a guy getting beat up pretty bad in the streets at night. Nothing too explicit by todays standards, but violence nonetheless...
