why do i like this so much?

every now and again you watch a film which has not got many good reviews but love it! this is one of those films -maybe it is the intriguing sexual chemistry between the two main characters !give me this ahead of 'lost in translation'any day!!

I think you're on to something with the sexual Chemistry. I couldn't put my finger on it but I there was something on the screen that was definitely worth watching but it sure as hell wasn't the plot, acting, dramatic scenes, editing, camera work or anything that traditionally draws you into a film.

This is just one of those films that is complete crap but it actually is watchable solely because the actors seem like they REALLY want to bone each other and you keep watching to see if it finally happens.

Its also one of the funniest most ridiculous films ever. i love it too. Lara flynn Boyles best role. I adore her in this.

Because of Lara Flynn Boyles; that´s enough.

I vote "no" on the sexual chemistry issue. It didn't get much screen time and it was so over the top and silly that I couldn't take it seriously. Many other factors pick up the slack though, including the ludicrous cookie factory premise, the great wacky dialog, the four way buddy content (Hutton/Boyle, Hutton/Platt, Hutton/Webber, and Hutton/his manager), the all star cast, and the inexplicable high-voltage charm of Oliver Platt.
