dennis farino at end !!POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!

i missed the very ending. Did Farino(jimmy's dad) die after being shot?
somebody please help

He was responsible for the death of Hardy's father. He tackled him to stop Vince killing Jimmy and the gun he was holding discharged into his chest.

Jimmy forced him to tell the truth and they then shot one another. Jimmy was wearing a bullet proof vest however and survived his fathers attempt to kill him.

Actually, I don't recall hearing any mention afterwards on whether Farino (Dennis Farina) died. Hardy yells to fellow officers outside the cabin that he was shot, but I guess it's just naturally assumed he died since Jimmy shot him at point blank range in what looked to be his heart area.

Hardy- "Hows the wife, Eddie?"
Eddie- "Non of your *beep* business!"
(Hardy turns around and faces him)
Hardy- "Yea, your right!
Hardy- "Your Eddie's partner, hows his wife?" lol

cinemorgue.com says he was killed but the movie doesn't make it clear.
