family tree questions... how is one side italian and the other irish???

so did bruce willis dad and dennis farina have the same mother, 2 different fathers? cause they make it clear one side is very italian and the other is very irish, but theyre brothers

lol they were brother in laws because tom was married to nick's sister who died so tom's family was irish and nick's was italian :)

No, Vince (John Mahoney) was the brother of Nick's (Dennis Farina) wife.

When Danny (Tom Sizemore) shows up drunk at the policeman's ball, he talks about how his mother was a Hardy.

Tom (Bruce Willis) is all-Irish, as is his father. His cousins are half-Irish, half-Italian with an Italian-American father.

Nick is an uncle by marriage, not by blood.
