yes she had a nose job. I heard about it somewhere, some years ago.
shareI thought nose jobs were supposed to improve things? She looked far better in this movie although I guess she was a lot younger.
shareI agree about the nose job and the general looks.
During the early bed scene (she was facing the camera with Willis behind) Sarah looked like a totally different woman, even though she had the same voice. I thought she looked more appealing in this movie than Sex in the City, even though she was basically playing about the same type of woman. This is the only movie I can think of where she had a child.
Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.
Attacking an actor for their looks is reprehensible. I think Ms. Parker is a very pretty woman. I don't feel Meryl Streep is very pretty, yet her abilities as a great actress is never compaired with her looks. My opinions on anothers attractive nature is better left on the E Channel I think since we are here to critique movies, then lets.
shareBeginthebeguine, anything -- and I mean anything -- about an actor or actress is open to criticism and reflection here. I think the issue with Parker as far as this movie goes and the decade in which it was shot, is how pretty she was when she was younger. She ha dlost that homeliness she exhibited in her TV show and earliest flicks. She probably had a nose job by the time this movie was shot, but I never noticed other than to think of her as a prettier version of Barbra Streisand. That's what I believe the posters here are trying to get at in their own bumbling, fumbling way. Today, she looks like any other aging female thespian (Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep, Glen Close, even Julia Roberts) and has lost her youthful allure. Big deal. She's an actress, not a model. The old Hollywood "glass ceiling" having to do with when a female turns 40 is, mercifully, slowly disappearing. Plenty of older actresses are still active in the business today.
sharehere! here! well said :)
shareThe reason I came to this board is because I think she looks the best ever in this movie. Any other movie, she looks like the witch she played without alot of makeup.
shareSJP is gorgeous in this particular movie. She appeals to me more here than any place I've ever seen her. And that body... WOW! If this what Matthew Broderick sees every night when they go to bed, then I'm in... ALL in!
shareThank goodness, I thought I was imagining it - I really enjoyed this movie and I thought SJP was excellent as always - but I couldn't stop looking at her nose and wondering if she subsequently had a nose job - which I believe she must have. You know how it is, something catches your attention like that, and you can't take your eyes off of it. I must say I think she is really attractive.
