What do you spend two years doing... (spoiler)

if everyone on the planet thinks you are dead? Jimmy's resurrection had that momentary effect that made you want to do a Keanu Reeves "Whoa," but are we supposed to believe that a very much alive psychopath would wait for two years to get vengeance on the folks he believe were responsible for his demise?

Just my $.02

The guy was obviously unstable. Don't try to figure him out.

The "what did Jimmy do for two years" question is as irrelevant here as the "when did McLane take a dump" one is after watching "Die Hard": who cares where he was or what he did? What's problematic is the insipid idea of Jimmy's being the "surprise" killer: what's worse is his performance and his refusal to die again and again and again...

He was Ringo in a touring bands production of "Beetlemania" no one ever notices the drummer.

I thought maybe he worked as Jay Lenno's stunt double.

Haha too funny!!

we was obviously spending those two years watching 1000 ways to die over and over again, and learning how to counter every possible scenario

Its been a very long time since I re-visited this film. All I know is, I never considered this plot point to be too much of a flaw, but now that more people have raised it, I might have to think about it more.

He was probably in California killing people. He was a serial killer. He dodged the heat and went to Cali for 2 years, killed there, things probably got tight there and he decided to make his return!

I'll bet you all 5 1/2 underrated stars that there was some quiet news report in the background of one of the scenes in the film that mentioned a string of unsolved killings in California.

He went back to Murphy Brown's house & spent 2 years retouching his original paint job that took 5 years to complete
