So do ya think Rebecca calls her family back once they get back to school to say it was over or does she continue dating Crawl to eventually live happily ever after.
At times she seems "into" Crawl and at times she looks at Crawl as her safety net.
I think they end up being better friends than a romantic couple

I would like to think that Rebecca and Crawl stay together, but I also think it wouldn't happen overnight and would be a total uphill battle for Crawl, but I don't think he would mind.
sharei totally think they ended up together. the look he gave her at the end dinner, you could so tell. besides the movie wouldn't be called "son in law" if he didn't actually become the son in law.

Hmmm...I've always wondered that. I'd like to think that they eventually ended up together. I've always thought that they would probably try dating when they got back to school. Crawl basically told Becca that he liked her as more than a friend. He says something like, "I'm into you." This was during their big fight after Travis set Crawl and Tracy up in the barn, and obviously, Becca has feelings for Crawl or she would not have been so upset about finding Crawl and Tracy in the barn together. Becca was in tears, and Crawl went running after her like a boyfriend would do. They acted just like a regular couple there, and it wasn't for the benefit of Becca's family. There were real emotions involved for both Becca and Crawl.
Also, don't forget that Becca and Crawl almost kissed after the dance. they would have shared a kiss had Pappy not butted in. I have no doubt that they would have kissed if it weren't for Pappy.
A previous poster said that Becca and Crawl would do best as friends. However, IMHO, the best and strongest relationships are the ones that are based on friendship first. Becca and Crawl can be friends as well as boyfriend/girlfriend. The two are not mutually exclusive.
On the farm she was the only girl he was into. After Crawl got back to college and his party animal ways he would have shagged some randoms and left her heartbroken...or maybe with a taste for orgys
shareI got the feeling that Crawl spent most of his free time with Rebecca at school after they got to be friends. And we don't know that Crawl is the type of person to sleep with loads of girls. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. A bit eccentric, yes, but nice. And I think he really cares deeply for Rebecca. I would not be surprised in the least if he tried to make a relationship with her work.
