Adam Goldberg cameo...

I was watching this movie again for the first time in years, and I finally picked up on a lot of the innuendo/cameos that I didn't really get when I was a kid; it's a bit cornball but it's still a good laugh.
I was surprised to see a brief cameo by the actor Adam Goldberg in the hallways of the student housing during the Halloween party... it's when Becca is walking past with the washing basket, avoiding everyone, and he says 'Oh, I get it... you're a hick washerwoman'. Wasn't sure but confirmed it by the credits. I wonder if it was just a bit part, or if it's because he's a mate of Pauly Shore's or something...?

It wasn't a cameo; it was a bit part. It only qualifies as cameo if the actor in question is known. Goldberg was still an unknown when he appeared in Son in Law and the most likely reason he was in the movie was not because he was a friend of Pauly Shore's, but because it was a job, which, when you're an unknown, you take when you can get.

I like to viddy the old films now and again

I love when you aren't expecting it and see someone who is well known now in a small orbit part, even sometimes as an extra. In Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Nicholas Cage is sitting at a table in the cafeteria, he is listed before he changed his name, Copolla. Dancing with the stars, Derek and Julianne Hough are in a crowd scene in the first Happy Potter at a Quiddich, game.
