Does Beckett lose a finger?
When Beckett is being tortured, it never shows whether he lost his finger or not, does any one know if he did?
shareBeckett's finger is not cut off but it is implied that it has been so damaged that he can never fire a gun again.... thus implying that the guy is finally going to have to retire after all.
Of course, they ended up doing two sequels to this movie so guess Beckett's finger wasn't so damaged after all.
He loses he finger or it's damages enough that it's later removed. In the sequel he does not shoot with his trigger finger, but with his right middle finger. His trigger finger is always bent back to make it look like it's missing (low budget). The idea is really stupid as it isn't very hard to shot with your left hand. I like the nsiper movies, just not that aspect.

I just watched the DVD i just bought of Sniper and i'm pretty sure last time i watched it on TV years ago when his finger is damaged. there is a firefight near the end and he has to use his pistol with his middle finger because he can't use his trigger one.

i've just bought Sniper on dvd, i did enjoy it years ago, and yes the ending is missing and so are some scenes i think. fairly sure he kills the rogue sniper in a trap where he shoots him through his scope, in my dvd you dont get to see him die at all (he just gets thrown out of a barn). and it is the official dvd!!! annoying!!
shareThose were two different snipers. The renegade sniper is a guy that Beckett trained years ago, and then went all renegade. He's the one that gets shot through the scope by Beckett when he uses Miller as bait. The one that gets thrown out of the barn is some random sniper that spots Miller in the tool-shed thingy.
shareI saw the third recently and it was pathetic. Also yes he was suppose to lose his finger (Xrays in the last show he has no index finger, but when he grabs the paper you can see it curles up!)
Its good movie with bad sequels
