Dvd falsely labelled widescreen

I recently bought "Sniper" and it is the good version with the lst helicopter scene, but the package claimed that it was a widescreen print. This is actually a full screen print and it is quite annoying. "Sniper" is a stylish and visual film and the cropped pan-scan format makes it look like a ceap tv movie. I hate that. anyone know which version is the actual widescreen print?

You gotta get the original, dual-sided DVD that Sony put out in 1998 (widescreen on one side, and full screen on the other). They're hard to come by, but you can usually track one down on eBay.
