Berenger's finest role?

Although he made his mark on Platoon, when I think of Tom Berenger, I think of him in this role. I really can't think of someone who would be better.

Ya this and Platoon. He defiantly is really good for a military role. Similiar to like Micheal Bien but more badass.

Undoubtably he was superb in Sniper, but in Platoon he was literally a force of nature.

His role in Gettysburg was also good.

Shoot To Kill was actually a great movie IMHO. The banter between Berenger and Sidney Poitier is priceless, and the story had some unique twist and turns.

In a way, Shoot To Kill is related to Sniper: Berenger is the rugged, no BS, self-reliant type while Poitier is the college educated, big-city type who thinks he can't live without his hi-tech gimmicks. Remember Berenger's face when he sees Poitier trying to pack a bunch of foot warmers? Classic!

Berenger was also great in Major League, but I think I agree that in Platoon he was larger than life. Prob his best performance.

Teddy Roosevelt in Rough Riders

Also loved him in The Big Chill.

IMO He was good in The Substitute too...

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

I was expecting something tacky but he did a great job.

Not a sniper myself but he nailed the bearing and attitude.

Dumb plot sending a "qualified" spotter.
