On some website for the Unrated DVD, they state that it's 106 minutes long, but that's what my R-rated VHS tape says. Are they wrong, or is it just going to be the same amount of time (which would seem weird)?
It'd be wonderful if they put music videos and interviews or featurettes on the DVD, but most companies just don't know how to make a good DVD so I won't hold my breath!
Well, I say we hire a couple of wranglers to go upstairs and beat the sh*t out of him!

The unrated edition is virtually identical to the rated one. Both were released on VHS, and the "unrated" version simply had wider angles on some of the more explicit shots and little (if any) new footage. For instance, there are several shots in the R-rated version where you only see Stone and Baldwin's faces while they have sex, while in the Unrated version the exact same shot is used, but pulled back so you see their bodies as well.
It was well documented at release (especially in an EW cover story) that these shots were zoomed-in on in post-production; the Unrated version was simply the version without the cropped shots. Besides that, there is a possibility that there is an insert or two I didn't notice (been years since I've had both versions, and years since I've watched either) but the run time was virtually the same. In fact, the only shot I believe that was cut after it was delivered to the MPAA (cut, not cropped) was one shot only of Stone's face that they deemed "too orgasmic". It was talked about in several interviews at the time, the absurdity of a facial expression being an issue between an R and an NC-17.
I'll be interested to see if someone does a comparison after the supposed DVD release (Amazon doesn't have it listed yet, so I'm not getting my hopes totally up), but rest assured (like the unrated version of Basic Instinct) that there isn't anything much more shocking than what was already in the film.
What I'm most excited about is a widescreen version...haven't seen it in it's full glory since it was in the theater. It's a beautifully photographed film, and I can't wait to watch it on a widescreen DVD.

What a great surprise! I will definitely be buying it. I have the movie on VHS, and was dying to have it on DVD. I like the artwork, actually, I think it is appropriate and a great scene.
