Eddie's Father VS Sleepless

Has anyone else noticed the strong similarity between this movie and
"The Courtship of Eddie's Father"? A widower with a precocious young son, he doesn't like the woman his father is dating and wants him to hook up with a woman he really likes. At one point he runs away to be with the other woman.

Yes, absolutely. I loved that movie, too. And the TV show spun off from it.

I also think that Ron Howard in that movie was possibly the most endearing child actor ever.

Never thought about it, but I think you're right. Loved that movie but never cared for the TV show.
