You all talk about ANNIE's flaws, but what about SAM's?

You do NOT introduce your new girlfriend to your son unless the relationship has gotten serious. He does it after... What? One or two dates? I was shocked, considering all the scenes where he talks about how relationships work.

Well, obviously he himself didn't enjoy her company very much. He was the kind of guy who couldn't say 'NO' when she offered to come to his place and cook for them. And then, he probably wanted to make sure it wasn't just his not wanting any relationship after his wife's death. He wanted to see that his son didn't like her, either.

Plus a big chunk of the story is how Jonah doesn't like her - we'd miss a lot of stuff if Jonah had never met her. The dinner, the 2nd call, the airport?

Victoria was VERY pushy.Sam was vulnerable, having decided that he had to get on his life. The narrative fits.
