Let's just cut to the chase when giving people moving advice: half the people that move there can't stand the place and leave within 5 years. Someone please tell me I'm wrong. I would love to hear a more favorable percentage so y'all can justify the brainwashing that takes place on this site. My partner and I have moved to Seattle few years ago and left within 9 months, we couldn't stand this place.

Half the people who move to Seattle leave after 5 years? Lol...no, that's not true at all. In 2013 Seattle was number 1 in population growth out of all the other big cities in the United States. In 2015 it was #2 behind Denver. Permits for multifamily residential construction was up 104% in 2015...Washington's population is at an all time high. ..so I really don't know where are the 50% or half the people who move there, are moving out. I lived in Portland Oregon and loved it immensely... I've lived all over this country and the Pacific Northwest is by far my favorite.

what I find funny is
Seattle gets on average 37" of rain a year.
and Nashville gets on average 52" of rain a year.
