I was just wondering how Delores was allowed to be a teacher? She doesn't have a teaching degree/ certificates. Then, that got me thinking did any of the nuns in this movie or nuns who teach in the real world have teaching degrees/ certificates? Anyone know how it works for nuns?
shareI'm not sure how it works for nuns but I know a lot of nuns used to be teachers in catholic schools. My mom has told me of some that have taught her And apparently they were very strict!!
shareReligious teachers (priests&nuns) are certified through the local Catholic diocese, not the state. This goes for religion teachers at Catholic high schools as well.
shareI know that in Minnesota no one teaching in a private school is required to have a teaching license. Found this out while working on my Master's of Education degree.
