that when Mrs. Finnigan comes home after her son walks home from being hit by Doreen there is a glass of milk on the table and Altman cuts to a commercial that says "accidents happen" with a glass of milk spilling and the camera dollies out to Doreen and Earl?

I thought that was cool. Are there any more visual ironies (I guess you'd call them) that happen?

Later you when Matthew Modine is arguing with a bottomless Juliane Moore, he has a pina colada in a glass that looks like a glass of milk.
