Can Someone Explain the Lyle Lovett Thing? **SPOILER**

How did the parents come to the conclusion that he was the one making the phonecalls? And why did they not suspect him of perhaps being the driver of the car? And why on earth did they allow him to comfort them?

And why did he make the phonecalls????

Sorry folks, but i was kinda stoned watching this!

They didn't suspect Lovett, the boy told the mom that a woman ran hit him. They figured by his reaction that he didn't know he was dead. They basically confronted him for being insensitive for calling repeatedly. He made the phonecalls because he worked hard for the cake and without pay, he wanted them to come down and pick it up, but bothered them more for screwing him out of time and pay.

You lost today, kid. But that doesn't mean you have to like it.

Film Four eh? Can you tell me how the parents knew that he made the phonecalls?

andie macdowell remembers while shes sleeping if i recall corectly. i think she reliazed after hearing all of the messages, that the voice speaking belonged to the baker. plus when the baker originlly called and talked to bruce davidson he mentioned that andie had ordered a cake that he needed to ask her about, didnt he? so maybe that info he knew confirmed her suspicions.

reply

He phoned several times saying he was the baker who wanted his money, so it wasn't difficult to work out that if they were getting further calls, it was him.

that makes sense.
