I was wondering if the body found floating in the water had any relation to the characters. I was sort of in and out of paying attention early on in the movie. When I went thru the topics on here, I thought somebody said Chris Penn murdered her. Which seemed ridiculous and I assume is not true. Anybody know if the body was connected to anything in the story?

No reason to think it was. Neither is there any reason to think Penn was a serial killer as some have proposed.

I guess I need to watch it again. I just came here after watching "When Will I Be Loved" and checking out Lori Singer's filmography.
But I thought it was Lori Singer's character Zoe floating in the pool face down and then her mom (Annie Ross' character) throws ice from a drink at her and tells her to stop that. She lifts her head up and acknowledges her mother.
Was there another floating body? We know it wasn't Zoe because Zoe kills herself in the garage.
