Another Raymond Carver Rip-Off

I don't know who wrote this film but I'm wondering if they gave credit where credit was due or did they simply rip off Ray Carver's "So Much Water So Close To Home" with the storyline of a group of friends on a fishing trip who find a girl floating in the water and stay on the trip anyway. The writer used Carver's work scene by scene.

Are you kidding? It's an authorized adaptation of Carver's work. Altman worked closely with Carver's widow during production. Now, whether you think it's a good or faithful adaptation is a completely different matter.

It is based on stories by Raymond Carver - it says there point blank. How can it be a rip-off.

I agree. It's almost as embarassing as Francis Ford Coppolla blatanly Ripping off Mario Puzo with that Godfather story. Somebody should sue.
