I think the Internet gives anyone and everyone a chance to have a similar "beautiful" mind in that there's SO MUCH information, we can start to form theories, see kaleidoscope patterns, make spurious connections, put two and two together and insist we get five.
There's a Star Trek episode where a woman is able to download all the ship's computer's information into her head. Then she almost goes crazy coming up with random conspiracy theories.
