Waits sort of makes an appearance in the movie. The casting of Ron Pearlman in the teeny tiny role of the attorney was the only way the could sort of get Waits to do a cameo. The two are dead ringers for each other. Smart move.

and no one mentions that the movie title was taken from the Tom Waits song...
