DVD versions

Saw this *great* movie yesterday at a friend's house, on an old VHS-tape. I definitely want to get this on DVD, but there seem to be lots of different versions out there, with different aspect ratios and running times.

So, IMDb says: 100 min | Argentina:106 min | Japan:110 min | Spain:104 min

I looked up on Amazon and eBay, where I found these specifications:

US: RC1, 1.85:1 (ws anamorphic), 100 min (NTSC), rated R, MGM, 2002
UK: RC2, 1.44:1, 105 min (PAL), 18, MGM Entertainment, 2003
Australia: RC4, 1.33:1 (full frame), 110 min (PAL), MA15+, 1993
Germany: RC2, 1.44:1 (letter boxed), 105 min (PAL), FSK 18, Euro Video, 2000
France: RC2, 1.85:1 (ws anamorphic, p&s), 105 min (PAL), Fox Pathé Europa, 2003
Japan: 1.78:1, 110 min, 1999

The version I was watching with my friend on VHS was widescreen (I would say the "widest") and the timer clocked in at around 1:48:50 (from MGM intro to end of credits).

So, which DVD could be the best? Although Amazon states a running time of 100 min for the US version, I found a cover scan on cdcovers.cc which shows a running time of "1h 50 min". So is this the "most definite" (up to now), considering aspect ratio and running time?

there are plenty of region-free players and dvd-rom, i would go for the australian version because its full frame and looks the most complete.

full frame allows the player the ability to play the film to the full capabilty of the TVset

I have the Region 1 DVD, and it is 110 mins (1:50), and I don't think it's edited. The arm scene and Lena's breasts are both present. Also from what I've heard, the Australian R4 is full screen (pan and scan) and edited for language, so avoid that one.
