No one seems to be mentioning Annabella Sciorra

I think she gave an excellent, nuanced performance. She has very little screen time yet builds tremendous empathy with the audience. I thought she was great as the tragic, hurt wife. You can tell she wants to be loyal to Jack but he has cut her off. She's the one person in the story you truly feel sorry for.

"Do you realise that Otto spelled backwards is Otto?"

actually i thought oldman made you like her character more; oldman was great in this as the naive, stupid and greedy cop.

Her Best bit was in THE HAND THAT (goes-psycho-when-it) ROCKS THE CRADLE.

She was awesome in in it. Her character in ROMEO was a bit bland.

I wondered what she really did also, If she loved him she would have came. She could obviously find out about him but she never does so I would assume she moved on. Considering he did leave her money she may not have been all that good. When she spends it she would have to think what he had to go thru to get it so she may have been a bit heartless herself.

He had dumped on their marriage, her, their life, in several ways.

She was well rid of him. Sometimes a person learns from her mistakes. She didn't want to go back for more of the same.

If he had loved her, he could've looked for HER.
