This was before parodys went full shock value and raunchy humor.
They got lazy.

Some good stuff after men in tights.

Agreed, but to be more broad, I think that's comedy in general. There was a turning point somewhere around there where it got to be about seeing how gross and inappropriate they could be. Which is all fine and well but I guess I more prefer comedy to be based on wit.
