KILL IN IT A IS!

I'm sorry, but i must have laughed for a good 5 minutes when Rottingham tried to say "don't you know it is illegal to kill a wild bore in the king's forest?" and butchered it. Especially the end when he says "kill in it a is!".

Mervin's problem with words was one of the best running gags in the movie. My favorite was when he said "King illegal forest to pig wild kill in it a is!"

I almost put up "King illegal forest to pig wild kill in it a is!" as my Facebook status after I saw the new Robin Hood.

I settled for just commenting "He deered to kill a king's dare" during the movie itself at an appropriate moment.

I'm partial to, "...I"LL pay for this!!"

and of course, " yes, yes, hurt you, hurt you, save them, save them. Got it!"

You know why *I* laughed so hard at this? Because my first European ancestor to come over the pond did so because he had killed a deer in the King's forest and was going to be beheaded. Actually, for that one, he wrote a lengthy, eloquent speech and escaped beheading, what with being a Knight Baronet of King Charles' table...the second time around, he knew no speech would get him out of it, so he and his brother high-tailed it over here, met up with the Natives, and the rest is family history!
