The ending?

I wasn't sure about the ending. The conversation between Snipes and Carrere. snipes says that the bad guys got caught. And Carrere says that it is common [practise for the subordinates to take the hit for their boss. And all this being said at the end of the movie to me indicated that the real person behind the whole murder plot was Mako (the head boss). Also the attraction between the two threw me. At least considering this was a hollywood movie with general formulas. It was just a bit strange.

They were just trying to keep the viewer guessing, as they did in the scene right at the end. Me, I think they did find the real killer.

The film - overall - was OK, but would have been better if they had replaced Snipes with a real, believable actor, like Denzel or Jamie Foxx. He sort of ruined the movie with his campy acting.

The worst scene in my opinion is right a the ending when he tries to convince Tia Carrere to do a one-night-stand and looks at her like a sad puppy. Apart from the fact that it doesn`t feel right that he tries to seduce the girlfriend of his partner after all they`ve recently been through.

Jamie Fox, 1993? If they had casted Fox in 93' for this role, you guys would have laughed. Fox emerged and crafted himself in the early 2000's. Early 90's, he's was clowning. Now if you say, they should remake this with Fox today... then maybe.

I thought the little dialogue in the end was an essential part of the film. To me its almost a given Ishihara was behind this to protect the deal, no way the lawyer guy would have done it for such little reward. Terrific film, looked impressive, and apart form some lame buddy-cop moments it was completely riveting.
