Eddie (we are led to believe) drives away and a car chase begins.His car crashes and explodes into a ball of fire. His totally burnt,unrecognisable body is recovered and identified (wrongly) by a coroner. And all this is delivered by a reporter, direct to camera while in the background, the fire fighters are still putting out the fire from the vehicle!!!
share Ha ha ha, good call. Gotta hate time constraints, attempting to put an entire book into two and a half hours of film. Sad.

Good call. I laughed in the theater when the reporter strolled within a
few feet of the intact (!) end of the car, right after it created a fireball.
Some speedy newsteam! And then the car is in the police garage, looking like it had burned from a dropped cigarette. Just one of a LOT of things wrong with this film, which, despite the flaws, I enjoyed.
