Great for pairing with PLAN 9
As a sanctimonious political thriller, this one was okay, not bad but beyond implausible when it really counts. But it contains some of the absolute worst dialogue I've ever heard in a mainstream movie. If you ever have a "Plan 9" party, where a bunch of people sit around drinking and making fun of the awful dialogue in that classic, and you want another movie to go with it, RISING SUN is probably the best of all possible options.
