What was Sean Connery's deal?

He reminded me of one of my white friends from high school that rapped and swore up and down he was a black gangster. In this movie i can't get over the feeling that Sean is going through a similar identity crisis with that whole Japanese culture thing......hahaha

also, after they solved this case, Sean's Japanese knowledge of culture and the language ain't gunna do a darn thing for him on his next case...I'm only guessing that it will most likely NOT be a murder or some sort conspiracy with-in a Japanese company again. what a waste

i'm with you on that. always thought his character was a struggling waiter at a sushi place. 'broke'. then went insane & what we see in this movie was the aftermath. the all black suits & stuff? 24/7?!!

Yo, bartender, Jobu needs a refill.
