Finale Question
Is there a stand-off shootout between Mario Van Peebles and Billy Zane at the finale, or do they have a fistfight? I can't rent movies too easily right now so if anyone could answer that would be great. Thanks.

shareThe finale involved a shoot-out AND a fistfight between Peeples and Zane. Zane briefly used a sword.
SPOILERS ****SPOILERS****SPOILERS
Zane kidnaps Lana and offers to exchange her for the gold. Peeples meets Zane in a bar to conduct the exchange. Treacherous and psychotic as ever, the ex-Army colonel Zane character tries to kill Peeples after doing some Russian roulette with Lana. Both Zane and Peeples run out of pistol bullets and resort to hand-to-hand combat. Peeples receives a slash across the chest from Zane's military sword but the sword gets knocked out of his hands. Finally, Peeples pushes Zane back onto the sword point, impaling him. Peeples frees Lana and they drag their wounded friend - the big black guy with the one strange eye - out of the burning saloon. But Zane is not dead after all. Zane then bursts out of the burning saloon, on fire and shooting a revolver. A little black boy hands Peeples his lost revolver. Peeples then shoots Zane with several of the gold bullets, which cause catastrophic wounds due to the soft metal. Zane falls back into the burning saloon which moments later explodes due to all the burning alcoholic liquor
TRIVIA: During the hand-to-hand fight scene in the burning saloon, Zane is briefly shown with his eyepatch pushed above his eye, which is perfectly normal. The film's producers evidently didn't catch the mistake or if they did they didn't bother to refilm the scene.
