There was a point in the past when I thought it was decent but yeesh. Other than the good cast the rest sucks.

I revisited this film a few years ago and had a similar feeling. I'm not sure that I'd say it "didn't age well," but more that it probably never was as good as I remembered it being in the first place.

Bridget Fonda is great, but other than that the movie is just kind of dull.

If you're looking for a 90s female-fronted action movie, I would instead recommend the highly under-appreciated The Long Kiss Goodnight.

Oh yeah TLKG is a good one. And your probably right that this was never as good as I thought it was.

Uggh, poor direction, bad writing, that horrible boyfriend character that acts more like a girl than a dude. It had a couple of decent action pieces but overall it felt very soapy with all that boyfriend/girlfriend relationship drama as the primary plot line. After rewatching it recently I realized Harvey Keitel has played a cleaner character twice which I thought was notable. I do give this film credit for that because I cant remember ever seeing a cleaner prior to this film.
