why try to have a normal life?

since Maggie and the other assassins created by the government can be called upon at any time to do a job why are they supposed to have a normal life? I mean its like sorry honey I cant make love with you right now I have to go and kill someone. Or sorry babe we cant go to the concert as I have to infiltrate an international criminals computer to retrieve sensitive data he stole and then kill him but we will try again next time. I mean Maggie and others have been trained to be killing machines how can they try to have some semblance of a regular life when the next job comes along? I never understood that

If a person who has a normal job can balance a social life, I don't see how a person with a job killing people can't. If anything, an assassin has more time to develop a social life. Spending 30 minutes killing someone opposed to 9 hours on your feet as a nurse.

well you may have to leave unexpectedly and it has to be covert. The general public should not be aware that they are turning violent criminals into assassins. Also like the part where they are in New Orleans and Maggie had to stall her boyfriend so she could make the hit and she didnt have an explanation. I could just see the assassins cover being blown by friends or relationships they have then the government would kill the assassin as well as whoever blew their cover. Being an assassin is not like having a job like a nurse. there would be more pressure involved. Usually if a nurse has problems with their job they might get suspended or fired or the hospital help them. In the case of this movie if the assassin screws up then most likely a cleaner is sent in to get the job done and then eliminate the assassin.
