Anyone think ''Again'' is a bit out of place?
I love this movie and I absolutely love "Again". It's one of my favorite ballads. And I thought it sounded beautiful incorporated into the movie score. But lyrically, I don't think the song matches Poetic Justice's story at all. The song is about reuniting with an ex with some major history recovering from heartbreak. PJ is about a troubled hairstylist in her mid 20s in the ghetto recovering after her boyfriend was shot. She has a huge chip on her shoulder and has it in her mind that she will never love again. One thing I will say though is one thing both the movie and song have in common are the theme of just being able to love again. But the background stories are very different.
I'm surprised no one pointed this out.
