Question about the home movies at the end
Were these actual home movies of Tom Hanks as a kid? In the credits "Child Andrew" is listed as someone else. But I've also read that those are indeed home movies of Tom as a boy.

shareYes..they are real home movies of Tom Hanks child hood..
shareYeah. I don't buy that. The home videos don't look that old, but rather made to look old, and if they credited the young child playing the Hank's character, then that little piece of trivia is bogus.
The actual footage was from 1968 and was of the rubberneck family in upstate New York. Those Rubbernecks are still furious they didn't receive any recognition.
shareSo disappointed! All these years I believed it was Hanks' real family movies. I mean I was born the same year and our home movies look EXACTLY like that; the quality, color ect. And IMDb is very good about checking their sources for info, ect. And the little boy looks just like Hanks! Then I read this first post and looked at the credits and saw where it had Andy as a child so man, I am sad.
Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!
