Ending scene always gets me
I don't generally fall for sappy sentimentality. But damn that last scene always hits me like a truck. The Neil Young music, the home movies. Sappy sentimentality done perfectly.

shareI agree. A celebration of a life
shareExactly! I cry like a baby.
Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!
Amen. It makes this hardened Texas boy cry.

Amazing scene. The thing that gets me about it is the shot of Andrew's mother about to break down... and someone brings a kid over to her and she smiles... Neil Young's song IMO was the one that should have won the Oscar.
OHHH GOOOD FOR YOU!!
I so agree about the song, it was better than Bruces’ which got all the credit.

Oh, incredibly powerful and moving. Makes me cry every single time. The Neil Young song is just awesome.
shareI have always cried at the end. I agree that the music along with the home movie are moving. Gets me every time.
shareThe movie gets melodramatic with the boo-hiss villains and the angelic heroes. But, the grace notes like that ending are what make the movie work.
