Two Complaints (spoilers)
First: Grantham had no way of knowing the President “intervened and tried to obstruct the FBI investigation of Mr. Matisse” when Grantham claimed as much in calling the President’s Chief of Staff before running the story at the end of the movie. The FBI director admitted this to Grantham only later and “off the record.” So, there was no reason for the Chief of Staff to resign or for him and the President to come unglued and covered in sweat in the final scenes.
Second: the scene in which Grantham and Shaw narrowly avoided being murdered in the parking garage was ridiculous. The female assassin was startled to miss her shot by a vicious barking dog that made not a peep when earlier gunshots were ringing out and Grantham and Shaw were jumping onto a car hood parked adjacent to the animal? And the other assassin loses control of his car and hits the only vehicle among hundreds in the garage that happens to be wired with explosives? Too far fetched.
