Where did Darby go to?

Did they mention it in the book?
I'm curious....

In the book, she bounces around several Carribean islands. In the movie, it appears that she is on a beach somewhere on the Gulf Coast.

She went to a place where they know not to use prepositions at the end of their sentences.

Don't end a sentence with "to". It is sloppy English.
