What happened to 'Stump?'

I remember seeing this film many years ago. As I recall, there was a character name "Stump", whom Denzel went to for various bits of information. Stump had one leg, I believe. (This is not the same character as "Sarge".) I DVR'd the movie off of Turner Classic Movies the other day and watched it, and there are no scenes with Stump in them, yet the IMDB page does show a character called "Stump". Were the scenes with Stump deleted for "political correctness?"

Follow up:

I rented the movie from Netflix and watched it again. The opening credits do list the actor who played "Stump", and Stump is listed in the cast portion of the closing credits, but the scene(s) with Stump did not appear.

Still waiting for someone who knows when/why that(those) scene(s) was/were deleted.

I'm pretty sure that in the book Stump was Darby's nickname for one of the people following her, he was one of the guys that got beaten up when they tried to catch her around New Orleans. The character is in the movie but the parts in the book where she calls him Stump aren't in the movie. Maybe if you read the book you could be combining the two and that's where the confusion is, I know I've done that before.

But I have not read the book.

'Stump' was the little hitman who tailed Julia Roberts and Denzel until he (Stump) crashed his car in the underground car park after they'd been to the safe deposit box. He is played by a British actor who has often played henpecked husbands and the like so it was quite odd to see him playing an assassin!
