FILM V NOVEL
Hi, has anybody read the book, if so how does it compare to the film? i've read a few grisham books and they appear to be much better than the films, e.g. ( The firm, A time to kill).

shareI think I have seen bits of the film a long time ago but can't remember much of it; but I've recently read "The Pelican Brief" and came on here to see what the film was like. Hmph,I'd say I would not have cast Julia Roberts as Darby and neither Denzel Washington as Gray Grantham though he is a great actor. Seeing the poster I think I still want to see the film but don't believe I'd enjoy it too much, like when I saw the 1st Harry potter film. Some films don't match the images inside your head from the books.(And with the Harry Potter, the acting was terrible) But then again, many people disagree.
shareI agree tobyd, the books are usually better. Its not the acting thats bad though, its more how they cut a bunch of stuff out:S things that made the book suspensful.

I read the book and I enjoyed as much as I enjoyed the movie.
shareSo far, for all of the Grisham books that I've read that have been made into movies, the books have been way better.

My opinion is that Grisham's far fletched plots work on paper, but film makers tend to make the plots unbelieveable.
sharePelican Brief is Grisham's best book. I think the movie was great. I thoroughly enjoyed.
