The contract letters slipped under the door with the coded name "Edwin S Sneller"
Assuming a covert operator wouldn't use his real name it's An unusual one which sounds as though it might be an anagram for something,
Any ideas what?

I am unable to answer that question, but would like to point out that the DVD's subtitles transcribed the name as "Edwin F. Sneller," which is what I heard as well. My ears perked up at this because my father's name first and middle name are the same.
