Was there more to the ending? (Spoilers)

I seem to remember seeing this film in the theater with an additional scene at the end. I remember Darby (Julia Roberts) sitting in her beach house watching Gray (Denzel Washington) on TV being interviewed by Edwin Newman. Just as in the version I saw today on TNT. Following that I remember a scene in which the camera pulled away from Darby's house, then panned over to show Gray walking down the road to her house. (The TV interview obviously was previously recorded.) The camera movements are not necessarily precise, but are the simplest way to describe what I definitely remember seeing.

Does anyone else remember that? Or have a DVD with deleted scenes that shows that?
