Ok, Rupert saves Darby's life by killing Khamel and in the French Quarter scene, he arranges for a couple of street guys to stall Stump so that she can escape, but where the heck was he in the underground garage chase ?? The female assassin would have executed Darby and Grantham, had it not been for that ferocious dog !

Rupert tails Grantham in a cab from a Washington area hotel. Grantham ditches Rupert by getting out of the cab in the middle of a large crowd of White House protesters. Rupert was unable to locate Shaw and Grantham after that.
