Meowing cat?

I know this seems silly, but does anyone else notice in the 1750 scenes at the estate, especially the scene where she is walking through the room in the big white dress, that you hear the sound of a cat meowing? What is the meaning of this? You hear it again briefly when she is out in the gardens.

Hello!

As a matter of fact, isn't a cat, is a peacock (male peafowl)!!! You can hear a similar peacock's meow-like sound at the beggining of the music "Govinda", of Kula Shaker's first album, "K".

oh, thanks! I never thought about it being some other animal.

Yes, I too noticed it. And then it was there again later on.
I was expecting a cat to pop out from under her skirts or somewhere. It seemed a part of the story almost.
