Connection between Needful Things and 'It Grows On You'?
Stephen King has said that his short story 'It Grows On You' has some connection to 'Needful Things' (aside from Castle Rock being the setting). What is the connection?

It's probably another story idea he stole from RICHARD MATHESON...
Go read Matheson's "The Distributor".
There's a reason with R.M "thanked" King for, and I quote, "Taking the ball and running with it".
He's saying that King took several of his short stories and made them longer. Examples of King stories that originally started as Matheson short stories: Stir Of Echoes (The Shining), Slaughterhouse (1408) and The Distributor (Needful Things).
I can only imagine how many more are out there...

Oooh, Stir of Echoes inspired The Shining? I'm familiar with both but have trouble seeing any connections beyond kid psychic and dad seeming unstable.
