Not so much in the movie, but in the book. Just grisly.

I agree, it was one of the few scenes that has always stuck with me from a book. I say scene but it's only how I imagined it in my head. Brutal!

That scene is scorched into my skull as I first saw this movie when I was about 4 or 5. That scene in particular scared the hell out of me.
