Also they said there was only one man to speak to if its about Cookies before they go to meet him... was he famous for the cookie connection back then?
It's F. Murray Abraham. He won an Academy Award in 1984 for Amadeus. One of the best performances you have (obviously) never seen ;-)
However, by that stage of his career he was pretty much in 'just some guy' mode, so you will be forgiven for not recognizing him.
