I enjoy this movie everytime I watch it. It was mentioned in the movie that Colt and Luger were to team up again. "Well... we're waiting!"
As proof a sequel is a good idea:
"Eddie and the Cruisers" didn't fare too well. A sequel was made = Bigger hit!
I mean, c'mon! They've made two sequels to "Cinderella" and three to "Home Alone" Loaded Weapon 2 could be a take off of "Die Hard 3" (Tim Curry could play his brother going after the cops who killed his brother.)
I agree. I have been watching movie parodies the last week or so to help pass my time and this has to be one of the best. This is a classic up there with Airplane! and The Naked Gun. Give us another one!
Totally need a sequel. The jokes and hints of a sequel in the movie only make the fact that there isn't one that much more of an annoyance. Sammy J & Emilio teamin' up again! Are you kidding me! Who wouldn't want to see that!?
And they gotta call it "Loaded Weapon 1 : Two"
You know why the chicken crossed the road? Because the road crossed the chicken.
Going along the lines of another post elsewhere..,
Tim Curry could return as the brother out for revenge on the cops that killed his brother. Jon Lovitz returns as a similar, if not the same character. Whoopi could return for 'new' "flashbacks". Corey Feldman could use the work.
Either have a photo of Phil Hartman placed in the movie, or at the end, "For PHIL." ..and make it worthy!
"Just because I'm moody, doesn't mean you're not irritating!"
There are about a dozen references to a future sequel in the movie!!
In the trivia section, it says that the sequel plans were scrapped because the movie didn't perform... but in the bussiness section, it says the movie costed an Imdb estimate of $13M to make and got more than 27 at the box-office... That does not include VHS rentals and sales, plus the TV rights, and foreign exploitation... Since when is that an "unperformance" for a Quintano/New Line/National Lampoon Production to earn the double of the original cost?!?
Come on! Give us a sequel already!
