What Happened between DeNiro and Murray?

Since the pic came out I heard rumors about fighting between DeNiro and Murray. I just read a Harold Ramis interview where he comments on a question about their conflict. He claims it probably had something to do with Murray's "personal habits" I love Bill but I often read about him not playing well with others. Does anyone know what really went down between them?

I'm not sure about this. I did read that Robin Williams accidentally broke DeNiro's nose during a scene in "Awakenings."

what's your source? I find that highly suspect...

In the IMDB trivia for Awakenings, it says that Robin Williams did break De Niro's nose (by accident), but De Niro claims that the injury actually straightened it from a previous break.

In the IMDB trivia for Bill Murray, it says that Murray broke De Niro's nose (also by accident) during the filming of Mad Dog and Glory.

Perhaps De Niro just gets his nose broken alot :)

At the time Murray was going through his divorce and it causesd him to act out. I don't exactly what he did but apparently he was hard to get along with at the time. I also heard about conflicts on the Groundhog Day set between him and Harold Ramis which was filmed the same year

The revolution will now be televised. Sundays @ 11 on Adult Swim

Yeah, Robin Williams was the one who broke DeNiro's nose (by accident). Robin Williams has said it himself in interviews.

that sucks cause they have an interesting chemistry in the early part of the movie where they are drinking and getting to know each other. i've heard about murray not being easy to get along with, for instance with lucy lui on that charlie angels crapfest.

Interesting, because I am watching biography channel program entitled: "Famous: Bill Murray." Bill Murray said that Robert DeNiro requested (asked for) Bill as a costar. He went on to describe how Robert took him to 57th Street to have suits made for him (for the movie). He commented on Roberts impeccible taste, how in choosing the material it was clear that "money was no object." He did not have one negative thing to say about Robert DeNiro.

Hmmm...

when people talk about money and big stars its usally a double negative
